Mirror Framing

There used to be a time when mirrors, framed or unframed, were relegated to the boudoir or the bathroom.  Not so any more!

Framed mirrors are now being created with decorative design in mind and may be used in any room or hallway in any home.  A more popular use for the framed mirror (besides the washroom), is to accent a living room that requires the visual effect of being larger than it really is.  A framed mirror can, of course, be used in any home or office decor.

The more popular choices of moulding for a mirror would be suitably sized wood or polystyrene. And there are literally thousands of choices! It is not common to use metal moulding for mirrors because mirror glass is quite heavy and may not be supported by a metal frame.

Mirrors can be made with bevelled or unbevelled edges and can be cut to just about any size.

Royale Art Salon uses only Wall Buddies® for mirror hanging purposes.  Wall Buddies® offer a more safe and secure hanging system for the heavier framed mirrors. In the case of hanging framed mirrors for hotels, motels or retail areas, we use the security hanging system.
